Binmen.

Okay, keep your PC hair on – Refuse Collectors. I’m sure there are loads of binwomen employed to collect our garbage. Just because I’ve never seen one doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

Where would we be without these paladins of the landfill?

Actually, I reckon this place would be the same with or without binmen.

I know we pay for this service out of our taxes but without it we’d be back to the middle ages with all kinds of vermin, parasites and bacteria. Typhoid, gastroenteritis, bubonic plague – Black Death would be knocking on our doors and pressing our intercom buzzers.
