Tone, (pronounced Torna), is my next door neighbour and she’s a ceramic artist.
Those of you who read this blog around the time of the Japan Art Auction last April may be familiar with her work as she very kindly donated a few pieces to help raise funds for the victims of the tsunami.
Well now, she’s exhibiting her work at an upcoming craft fair and it would be really very nice of you, (if you’re in the Manchester area), to go down and buy some of her lovely work.
Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair takes place in the new venue of Quay House on Quay Street in Manchester’s Spinningfields (next to the Opera House).
20th to 23rd October, 2011
The exhibition will feature work from over 130 carefully selected designer-makers. Tone will be exhibiting new additions to her current collection of contemporary domestic ceramics inspired by her impressions and memories of snow covered landscapes and winter skies of Norway.
You can see Tone von Krogh Ceramics on Stand 021 in Room 1.
See below for a sneak preview.
So pop along, and tell her I sent you. (I’m on a commission.) You can’t miss her, she’s the one with the really big thumb.
