Things for which I am grateful #365/365.

Some folks might think this is a bit of a cheat. I started with my kids and I’m going to finish with them. In my defence, I have two of the little rascals so I’m counting it as one post apiece.

There is nothing more precious to me on this Earth than my two daughters. Anyone who has children will know that something changes inside of you – chemically, biologically – and nothing else seems to matter.

Of course, this doesn’t apply to every parent, and true, the pesky varmints do get on your nerves a lot of the time. And yes, they bicker constantly. And they manage to talk in a stream of consciousness James Joyce would be proud of. But, when all’s said and done, they don’t outweigh all the adorable moments. I simply couldn’t live without them.

It’s been an epic year of blogging. Thank you for sticking by me and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Right, I’m going for a lie down.

  1. 365/365. Nicely done, sir. Take a bow Mr Croft!

  2. Ah wonderful! Not a cop out. Truly YOU.
    Take a well-deserved lie-down and have a great 2015. jxxx

    • After post 364 I realised I had set myself up for something special for 365, but I had already decided months ago that the last one would be for my girls. Hopefully, not to much of a let down. But there are plenty of other things to write about next year. Thanks for all your support during the past 12 months, Jean. And congrats on your stats. I got something similar – but not quite as impressive as yours! 🙂 Happy new year to you and yours. Dx

  3. Doris

    Bravo you finish!

I have to say I miss a couple of post, ok, many post :). Jorge Luis Borges is one of my favorite poets, will check that post right now.

What a great project, they say being thankful can keep you healthy, and I think it did. You are not cheating you girls deserve two mentions they are adorable.

I will start a gratitude journal, thank you for inspiring us so much. Wishing you the best this 2015 to you and your lovely family!

  4. Those girls of yours are adorable and characterful looking — a bit like their dad really 😉

You’ve achieved a great thing with your blog this year and there are many items on that list of 365 with which I would accord wholeheartedly. I’m still quite overcome with the literary perfection of The Goldfinch and haven’t been able to find a novel that has matched up to it ever since.

Don’t take too long a rest from blogging, as you’ll be missed.

    Happy New Year!

  5. Well done completing all 365! Very impressive.

Now looking at the list above, there appear to be a couple of posts I missed – so I’m going to catch up with them now.

  6. HaHaha… The Pop Man. I wish we had one. I’m going to track one down.
